Chinese New Year & Valentine's Day!

Happy Chinese New Year to myself!

Somnang and I worked all day on Valentine's Day on Sunday, and Cu was off and spending his own Valentine's Day at home playing his online computer game. It was just like the regular day for us, the differences was, we were so busy at work and got so worn out. But at least we made some money that was able to let us to spend a little extra this coming week.

I woke up around 11am, Somnang and I went to Dinho Hot Pot Restaurant today, and it was really good! Cu usually doesn't like to eat hot pot, but I really hope that I could take him to try this place for once! They give everybody each hot pot to cook their own food. I had my seafood combination, and I cooked my own hot pot with different sauces and spices that they provided in the bar. It was really a decent place to go!

Cu called in the afternoon and told me to arrange the next day off so that we could spend it together as he is off tomorrow. He said it is to replace the Valentine's Day that we had missed. We usually never celebrate this big day on the actual day due to the reason that every place would be crowded and overpriced. We like to enjoy it in our own way and in a more serenity environment, at least don't have to yell at each other when you talk in a restaurant.

I am excited about tomorrow regardless what we are going to do. The fact that we are spending time together is enough to make me happy and content. At least he is thinking about me and not the GAME, and his thought of taking me out? It was really sweet!

Nini doesn't seem like liking her new food that I bought for her from Wal-Mart. Cu has been asking me to return the food and get the new one from Petsmart. I am concerned about Nini's eating habit. But there is no way that I can return the food since I already threw the receipt away. I bought some new treats for her today and Cu was trying to mix her food with some olive oil. She seems like enjoying her food now. I am relieved that she finally eating her food.

After coming back from eating hot pot, I started cleaning up our house from our bathroom to living room. I know this is supposed to be done before Chinese New Year, forgive me I didn't have much time before that. Like I said, Monday is my only ALL DAY off, and this is when I would use my "extra" time to do some clean-up and grocery shopping or running some errands. I was so satisfied and happy to see our place are so clean and in placed now. It made me happy.

Somnang is supposed to go out with her date today but her date didn't show up, saying that he couldn't make it. What kinda person would call the last minute and cancel on that date? I start dislike this type of person because this is not the first time he gave Somnang hope and get dressed and be ready for the date and then he would call and cancel like nothing serious! How could a guy do that to a girl? Somnang said they are just friends. To me, this is even worse! What kinda friend would treat you like that?!

Oh well... It's Chinese New Year! I am not going to get mad at something that doesn't even trigger the person who is involved! I will just smile and let it slide.

Happy Chinese New Year and Happy Valentine's Day! And you know what? It was snowing on February 12! And we had a very white and beautiful weekend in our city! This is a very rare scene in Atlanta. And like what we would say, it's a miracle and let just hope that it is the sign of good year is coming around and everybody is blessed with good luck and fortune!
