Emma's 0-4 Months Old

0 Months

You arrived 4 days before your due date.  You weighed 6 lbs 2 oz, 19 in.

You have a lot of dark hair, black eyes, small lips like daddy.  

You have long legs, long fingers and toes like mommy.  

You're the easiest baby to care for in the world, everyone said.

You only cried during bath time and hardly even feeding time.

You love to be held and walked around.
You talk a lot and your new word is "eh eh eh".

You feel the most comfortable when you are on the car when we take you out.

You're already sleeping 4-5 hours straight at certain nights.

Mommy and daddy loves looking at you and playing with you.

You are the cutest baby in the world, we love you so much!

1 Months

You are 7 lbs and 13 oz and 20.5 in. today.  

Doctor Balcarek said you can lift your head like a 2 months old now!

Mommy thinks you actually look like Uncle Siang Kuan when he was little.

You smiles a lot and have a very good grip to everything in your hands.
You have this so called "cradle caps" that mommy and daddy don't like.

You finally latching on mommy's breast without nipple shield for few days already.
Formula milk is your back up milk when you are still fussing after breastfeeding.

You seem to have less wind problem but you still fart and poop very loud! Opps!

Pacifier becomes your new best friend whenever you start fussing.

You are very alert to your surrounding now. 

You like to look around to look for where the voices come from.

You make so much noise in your sleep, and you talk a lot now!
Your new word now is "eh ya eh ya"! So cute!!

2 Months

You have become a 8 lbs and 13 oz beautiful girl who is 21.5 in long now!

At 2 months old, you seem to be able turn your head left and right with no problem at all.

Everyone says you look exactly like daddy.

You are a happy baby and giggle a lot!

Your cradle caps are getting better, but rashes is getting worse!

You are getting good on latching now, but how come mommy is getting plugged ducts now and then?

Mommy and daddy only give you pacifier when you cry although we agree this is not a good habit.

You talk so much and you make us laugh a lot!

3 Months

You are a 3 months old who laugh a lot now!

Everyone asks about your weight and height but we won't know till the next doctor visit. ;)

But you eat well sleep well, that's all mommy and daddy cares right now.

You have sleep through the night and letting mommy gets enough rest.

However, it causes mommy getting mastitis and then abscess due to lacking pump too!

It lasted for 6 weeks and mommy only got recovered after taking antibiotic.

It was the most painful experience ever and mommy almost gave up on breastfeeding!

However, we are back on track after mommy was recovering.

The milk supply has been reduced and formula has been introduced.

Your were given liquid formula Similac and Enfalac before (newborn) once a while;

but now you are given powder formula Gerber Gentle Start as complement.

It was not the best option, but it makes both of us happy!

You start learning how to turn over your body, 

hopefully mommy can see you walk very soon!

4 Months

My naughty girl is now 11 lbs and 4 oz; 23.75 in. long now!

Time goes by so fast, and it's time to introduce you some solid food!

Start from Gerber Single Grain cereal, and you seem to love it a lot.

Unfortunately you still are not able to eat very well, so mommy makes it more liquid for bottle.

You can turn your body from each side now but not very often.

Daddy and mommy still has to give you a lift when you are working on your turn.

You talk and laugh a lot and you are a loud baby, oh no!!

Now and then you cried at night when you are hungry,

Mommy thinks it's because milk doesn't fill you up enough for your to sleep all night now.

That's why mommy is trying to let you eat solid food now

So you can sleep well like before, so does mommy and daddy! =)
